  • Short Introduction to ebXML
  • Currently working on the CPP's (ThisPartyActionBinding elements)
  • Phase 1. Writing up an matching algorithm
  • Phase 2. Incorporating negotiation into formation process

Don mentioned some problems with content in the Project Proposal.
  • Game theory is not only used in economics but for example also in cryptographics (what was that book)
  • AI did not start exactly 1950 but much earlier. 1936 some guys (who?) tried to understand how the brain works or that was their interest. T. wrote the very hard T. test which are not passed til today back in xxxx.
  • Don quickly showed a common way of negotiation: Party A send a list of possible values and Party B then chooses one (probably its favourite one), next round can be some options for that selection.
  • Don also mentioned a sort of service that if there is no match that there might be a list of alternatives which can be passed on. Eg this could maybe be useful in certifcates authorities, to present a list of known certificate authorities.
  • Don suggested to start with phase 1 (algorithm for matching tasks) and then with phase 3 (human negoation) and to have something comperable with the human negotiation build into some negotiation system, eg phase 2.
  • Don also suggested that to restrict the negotiation on one particular thing. Eg. if there is a conflict with the MessagingCharacteristics element and show on that one element what negotiation can be done, what situation can arouse etc etc. not to try to build the super generic negotiation thing.
