m e e t i n g . a c t i v i t i e s      The application admission is handed in to the internation office last week. The openebXML project has a IRC (Internet Relay Chat) channel called #openebxml at irc.openprojects.net Sacha is the IRC manager of the openebxml project. Sacha is editor of the ebXML directory at www.dmoz.org (open directory project). The ebXML - Australian Working Party (ebXML-AWP) had a phone conference friday, 19th April 2002 at 8:00 (Perth time). The student was hooked up to the conferenece. The collaboration web tool will not be used for this project because the editing uses some special syntax. The homepage of this project at www.schlegel.li/ebXML/ has been launched. This week (week 17, 2002) Sacha will do some XML programming including CPP/CPA to HTML with XSLT. This exercises are for a refresh of the XML technologies.

 

m e e t i n g . n o t e s   Sacha should concentrate on the Candidacy report because that is the next big task in a masters thesis project. Sacha should start to prepare meeting notes and give one copy to all meeting participants. Andrew mentioned: With a big XML document, the DOM XML parser will load everything into memory which can cause problems. Andrew suggested to check what other ebXML user use as XML parsers. Tim mentioned this site (http://www.noie.gov.au/Projects/ecommerce/interop/index.htm) at the first meeting.
